The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Bole-Bamboi Constituency, Alhaji Yusif Sulemana with support from H.E. John Dramani Mahama has connected 3 communities in the Constituency to the national grid.

Babato, Chibrinyoa and Gbampewa were part of the many communities the John Mahama administration began extending electricity to before leaving power in 2017; however these projects were stalled by the new government.

Hon Yusif Sulemana recounted some of the obstacles he had to scale before successfully connecting these three communities to the national grid such.

He said Procuring a transformer, getting a qualified contractor and getting the energy commission to certify wiring and meters were some of the challenges he encountered.

The Assembly man for Babato electoral area, Hon. Malik who spoke on behalf of the 3 communities, expressed appreciation to Alhaji Yusif Sulemana for his role in getting them hooked onto the national grid. This was what he said;

The Chibrinyoa community which used not to vote for the NDC, pledged to reward the NDC on the coming elections because the MP has shown them love that they least expected because of their voting pattern. Over 50 NPP members joined the NDC.
