The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Secretary for the Savannah Region Lawyer Salisu Be- Awuribe has called on the people of the Damongo Constituency in the Savannah Region to ‘chop’ the money of Abu Jinapor but votes against him in the 2024 parliamentary elections.
He said; “We are telling Damongo Constituents to take the money of Abu Jinapor and ‘chop it’ but vote for the right candidate who can real development to the people.
Lawyer Salisu Be-Awuribe further said; “God will not punish anybody for taking the money of Abu Jinapor. Even those who swore to God and gods after taking Abu Jinapor’s money will not be punished because the money Abu Jinapor is sharing is for all of us. “
The Savannah Region NDC Secretary further urged the peope of Damongo Constituency to vote for a candidate “who is respectful and not arrogant.”
Lawyer Salisu Be-Awuribe was speaking on Bole based Nkilgi Fm’s morning show after he was asked if the NDC can contain the momentum of Hon Abu Jinapor in the Damongo constituency, after the NDC in the Savannah Region Constituted it’s Campaign Team for 2024 Elections.
Meanwhile, the Savannah Region NDC Secretary explained that following a directive from the Head Office of the Party on the composition of the Various
Regional and Constituency Campaign Teams to run the 2024 Elections, the party in the Savannah Region, has costityted its Campaign Team for the 2024 elections.
Lawyer Salisu Be-Awuribe said, considering the calibre of personalities that constitute the Campaign team, the party is ready to win all the seven (7) seats in the Savannah Region.
Members of the Savannah Region 2024 Campaign Team are Alhaji Imoro Seidu (Regional Chairman and Chairman of the Regional Campaign
Team), Lawyer Salisu Be-Awuribe (Regional Secretary and Regional Campaign Coordinator), Hon Sorku Kassim Yahuza (Regional Organiser- Member), Mr R.A Jalil, Regional Communications Officer- Member) and Alhaji Inusah Mahama (Regional Youth Organiser Member).
Others are Hajia Afisha Bawa Doshi (Regional Women Organiser- Member), Hon Ewuntomah Abdul Mumin (Regional Zongo Caucus Coordinator- Member), Hon Ali Bakari Kassim (Regional Treasurer- Member) and Mr Wisdom Gidisu (Regional Director of Elections and IT- Member).
The list also has Prof Elliot Alhassan, (Regional Research Director- Member), Tingawura Hon Samson Seidu Abudu (Chairman, Council of Elders- Member), Hon Alhaji Sulemana Yussif, MP & Parliamentary Candidate for the Bole Bamboi constituency and Chairman, Parliamentary
and Parliamentary Candidate’s Caucus, Savannah Region- Member), Hon Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Lemuna (Former Minister of Agriculture and
Representative the Former Minister and Chief Executive Officers- Member).
The list also include Hon Alhaji Seidu Karim, Former DCE, East Gonja Representing the Former
MMDCEs- Member) Hon Samuel Bavug Wusah ( Former Member of Parliament of Damongo/ Daboya
representing the Former MPs – Member).
The rest are Tunawura Hon Daniel Sarfo Amantana, President, United Cadre Front [UCF]
Representing the Cadres of the Party- Member) and Lawyer Baba Sadique Zankawa Korkortiakor, Regional Legal Director and President
of the Professional Forum, Savannah Region- Member).
According the NDC Secretary for the Savannah Region, all persons appointed are representing offices and groups within the Party
and must therefore actively engage them in their representation.
