The Bole District Director of Health Ndapewurche Hajia Fuseina Sulemana has called on residents of Bole to avail themselves for blood donation when the need arises because their blood bank is almost empty.
Hajia Fuseina Sulemana was speaking at the sidelines of the mid-term review meeting held at the Bole District Hospital on 12th August, 2024, which had in attendance Health practitioners, representatives of the Bole District Asssembly, the Security Services and other stakeholders to delibrate on the ways to improvement healthcare delivery in the District.
She said that the hospital sometimes lack blood to supply to their potential clients, hence making health care delivery difficult.
On statistics The Bole District Health Director said Out patient visits to the Hospital increased from 103,653 to 120,089 and that still births have declined from 98.3% to 97.1% with a maternal mortality rate reducing from of 86 per 100,000 to 53 per 100,000
According to Ndapewurche Hajia Fuseina programmes registration of households on mass distribution of mosquito net, Seasonal Material Chemo-prevention, school deworming and others were successful.
Ndapewurche Hajia Fuseina commended the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Bole- Bamboi constituency Hon Alhaji Yussif Sulemana and the Zakat Foundation of America for their interventions in many areas.
