Former President John Dramani Mahama has donated GHc100,000 to the Chief Imam of the Bole Alhaji Mohammad Iddrisu and the Muslim Clan Leaders (Chamogos) as part of his contribution towards renovation works on the Bole Central Mosque.
The Chief Imam of Bole and his Elders have taken a decision to take charge of the renovation of the Bole Central Mosque themselves and called on all including politicians to forward their contribution towards the renovation of the Mosque.
The donation to the Chief Imam and the Muslim Clan Leaders was done by Mr Abdulai Natomah who is a nephew of former President Mr Abdulai Natomah accompanied by others.
Speaking before the donation Mr Abdulai Natomah said former President John Dramani Mahama as a native and a royal of Bole was not informed that the Bole Central Mosque nees renovation only to read that in the media.
He said John Dramani Mahama should have been informed first before any outsider and that when he was informed that an Ancient Mosque in Bole need renovation, he immediately donated some cash which was used to complete the work.
He said former President John Dramani Mahama is wver ready to assist on any issue feom the Muslim Community in Bole that comes to his attention.
Mr Abdulai Natomah calles on the Bole Chief Imam and his Elders not to politicise the renovation of thw Mosque simce it is a property of the whole Muslim Community.
Bamba Chamogo Mallam Asumah Amoro speaking on behalf of the Chief Imam and all the Muslim Clan Elders Chamogos thanked former President John Dramani Mahama and urged all to donate towards the renovation of the Bole Central Mosque.
