The King and Overlord of the Gonja Kingdom Yagbonwura Biikunuto Jewu Soale (I) has urged the Savannah Region 2024 representative of Ghana’s Most Beautiful Pageant Miss Nihad Titiaka Ibrahim Oasis to put up her best in winning the 2024 edition of the Pageant.
Yagbonwura Bii-Bii-Kunuto made these comments in an address when Miss Titiaka, her family and her team led by Madam Mary Korsah visited the Jakpa Palace at Damongo on Tuesday 30th July, 2024.
The Yagbonwura speaking throigh his Linguist said the gods of the land are solidly behind Titiaka and appealed to the entire Savannah Region to solidly support the young lady to bring the crown to the Jakpa Palace though voting to get to the top.
The Gonja Overlord donated an undisclosed cash amount to the team.
Speaking at the Palace Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale (I) Miss Nihad Titiaka said she was at the Palace of the Overlord of Gonja Kingdom to take his blessings to win the Ghana Most Beautiful Crown. Titiaka called on the people of the Savannah Region to support her with prayers and votes.
The Leader of Titiaka’s Management team Madam Mary Korsah said the Savannah Region is poised to work hard to win the GMB Crown for the first time.
She said one person cannot do the work and called on all sons and daughters of Gonja to keep voting for Titiaka to win the crown.
Earlier, the team including the biological parents of Titiaka were at the Palace of the Paramount Chief of the Damongo Traditional Area Damongowura Kelly Seidu Boresa (I) who organised a colourful mini- durbar attended by his sub- Chiefs and Queen mother to welcome Titiaka and later led her to the Jakpa Palace.
Speaking at the Damongowura’s Palace Miss Titiaka said she will put up her best to win the Crown but need the support of the Chiefs and people of Gonja to win the crown.
The Damongowura donated Gonja locally made cloths and a cash amount of GHc1,000 to the team.
The visit of Titiaka comes after all 16 Contestants for this year’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful were unveiled at a grand launch of the GMB 2024 on Sunday, 28th July, 2024 at the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoluem, setting the tone for yet another display of Ghana’s peculiar cultural heritage to the world.
