The Zakat foundation of America on Friday 22nd December 2023 donated a mechanized borehole to Bole District Fire Service Station and on the same day also donated a Motobike to the Bole Immigration Service.
At a brief ceremony to donate the mechanized borehole to Bole District Fire Service Station, the Country Director for Zakat Foundation in Ghana Alhaji Salia Alhassan said one of the objectives of Zakat Foundation America is to identify the challenges confronting society and provide solutions to mitigate them. He said they have a program for supporting Education, Health and Security in the Bole district.
Alhaji Salia hinted that, they received the appeal through the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Bole to support the Bole District Fire Service with a mechanized borehole.
Alhaji Salia Alhassan added that, Zakat Foundation deems it fit to make water readily available to the Fire Service to fight fire and save lives and properties.
He said the Bole Health Center, Bamboi Polyclinic, Teselima CHIPS Compound, Mandari Health Center, the Ghana Education Service offices in the Bole and Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Districts, the Bole DHMT are among some beneficiaries of their program.
The Bole district Fire Service Commander ADO- 1, Sonboro Frank on behalf of his Chief Fire Commander Mr Julius Kun-nuo and the Savannah Regional Fire Commander ACA4- 1, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the DCE for Bole, Madam Veronica Alele for initiating the process of the contracting of the mechanized borehole. He thanked the country director of Zakat foundation for coming to their aid after thirty years of facing water challenge. He promised all stakeholders that the facility will be put into good use to meet its intended purpose. He used the opportunity to appeal to other benevolent organizations to support them with office space and the construction of an appliance base for the fire thunder.
At a separate donation of a Motorbike to the Ghana Immigration Service, Bole Command, the Country Director for Zakat Foundation in Ghana Alhaji Salia Alhassan said they received an appeal through the DCE for Bole Madam Veronica Alele Heming of Bole to support the Immigration service with a Motorcycle in the Bole district to enhance their border patrols.
The Ghana Director of US Zakat Foundation added that, their outfit deems it fit to provide the motorbike since the delivery of proper security is a shared responsibility.
The Bole district Sector Commander of the Immigration Service, Chief Superintendent Appiah Benifu expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Honorable DCE for Bole, Madam Veronica Alele for initiating the process. He thanked the Country Director of Zakat Foundation for coming to their aid. He promised all stakeholders that the motorbike will be put into good use to meet its intended purpose. He used the opportunity to appeal to other benevolent organizations to support them with office space and more motorbikes to enhance their work.
