The Executive founder of Nasco Feeding Minds, a Non Governmental Organization located in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District of the Savannah Region, Mr Banasco Seidu Nuhu has said that, a project known as the
Nasco Climate Advocacy Program, an initiative of Nasco Feeding Minds will seek to promote sustainable and scalable climate actions in Ghana.

According to Mr. Banasco Seidu Nuhu, Nasco firmly believes in instilling environmentally friendly habits and lifestyles from an early age and recognizes that socialization plays a pivotal role in reducing carbon emissions and through Nasco Climate Advocacy Program, it has successfully established the “Mundo Verde Club,” a student-focused environmental sustainability club, which updates students on global climate news whiles encourages them to become climate advocates.

The innovation according to Mr. Banasco Seidu Nuhu, “Fruits for Education” project engages students in climate action by planting fruit trees, whose proceeds are used for maintaining ICT centres. In addition, Nasco collaborates with communities to restore groves and forests and combat desertification in the Savannah Region.

He added that with support from the ERM Foundation, Nasco has added 250 trees and planted 400 seedlings to its afforestation initiatives and this was done by supporting the Nasco Climate Advocacy Program.

Mr. Banasco Seidu Nuhu therefore is encouraging and seeking the concerns of Stakeholders that can actively participate in mitigating climate change and protecting the environment to do in order to ensure a prosperous future for generations to come.
