A Private Business Executive and Patron of the Alan Kyeremanten Campaign for the 2023 NPP flagbearership contest, Alhaj Iddris Abdulai has reacted to a news item carried by Ghanaweb quoting the MP of Subin in Ashanti Region, Hon Eugine Boakye Antwi to the effect that; “We don’t need Northerners or Muslim to break the top eight” .

Alhaji Iddris opines that much as people are at liberty to support and express their personal views on candidates they support, it is important to measure their comments to reflect the personality of their preferred candidate.

According to him, “The Alan Kyeremanten I know embraces and respects the diversity of the Ghanaian people and has never in his political life wether directly or remotely expressed religious or tribal bigotry. If you have ever closely shared his company, you will love him for his sincerity in dealing with people of all backgrounds, no matter your religious or tribal background. He sees Ghanaians as one people with a common destiny”.

Alhaj Iddris Abdulai alao said; “A person claiming to support his political course should therefore not be expressing or entertaining views that are at variance with his personality and public conduct.
The North love Alan because we see in him a credible and competent character with the task relevant experience to lead this country and the North in particular to prosperity. His Vision for Agricultural transformation outlined in his GTP vision has the potential to make the North with vast untapped arable land into the food basket of the sub region”.

He added; “What Hon Eugene Boakye must also know is that the NPP could never have won any election in this country without the Northern votes and I expected him as a consummate politician to know this fact. In the just ended 2020 elections it was the North that made up for a good number of parliamentary seats lost in the south.

Alhaj Iddris Abdulai further said; “Much as we love Alan to succeed as flag bearer of our party the NPP, we must eschew controversial comments especially when they do not reflect the personality of our candidate and not borne by the facts.
Alan is and has always been a unifier who loves, cherishes and works with all Ghanaians irrespective of your religious or tribe.

He stated; “If Hon Boakye cares to know, in the just ended Ramadan we had one of the best iftar sessions sponsored by Alan Kyeremanten at his airport offices where Muslims were entertained to a feast and observed congregational prayers in his compound. It is therefore important for all key supporters of the Alan candidacy whenever they get an opportunity to market him to eschew overzealous tendencies and commentary that do reflect the personality of the man.
