Vice President Dr Alhaji Mahmoud Bawumia has donated food items to the overlord of the Gonja Kingdom Yagbonwura Soale Jewu Biikunu.
The food items which are 20 bags of rice and 20 bags of sugar were donated on behalf of the Dr Bawumia by the Savannah Regional Minister Mr Saeed Muhazu Jibril on Friday Friday 7th April, 2024 at the residence of the Overlord.
Speeaking at the Residence of the Yagbonwura Mr Muhazu Saeed Jibril said;
”Jira, your son Dr Bawumia has asked me to present to you these bags of sugar and rice to support you during this holy month of Ramadan”.
He added that the Yagbonwura receives many visitors who mostly breaks the fast with him and therefore will use the food items to support him during this period.
The Spokesperson for the King, Benkrowura Saaka Seidu Bakari who eceivex the items on behalf of the King, thanked the Vice President for the support and asked the Savannah Regional Minister to extend the King’s fecilitations to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Vice-President Dr Bawumia during the coronation of the Overlord of Gonja described him as his father and will always support him anytime the need arises.
