A National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Aspirant for the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency, Mr Seidu Nuhu, says he is the most competent and hardworking person in the constituency that could never be compared to anyone.
He said he is one of the people who has supported and sponsored the NDC party for a number of years, stating that the constituency needs a unifier like him to bring the party together.
In an interview with Mr Nuhu on Nkilgi FM’s morning show, he said politics and democracy is about development and the government cannot just come to develop the area unless they have a competent person who will represent them to bring development to the constituency.
Seidu Nuhu added that the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Constituency lack behind in terms of development, stating that most communities in the constituency do not have portable water to drink.
He said so many constituents complain to him about portable water and CHPS compounds and through his intervention, he has been able to write proposals for some communities to get portable water.
Seidu Nuhu added that there are no good roads in the constituency which makes it difficult for the market women to be able to travel to markets to find their daily bread.
He alleged that whenever they go to meet the incumbent MP for the constituency to come and construct the roads for them, he tells them that it is not the duty of the MP to construct roads.
He again alleged that the MP said it is not their duty to construct bridges and also do not receive common fund to support students because they are in opposition.
He said everyone in this country know Hon. Okudjeto Ablakwa is also in opposition and yet is able to do great things for his constituents.
Mr Nuhu said all these reasons necessitated his picking of the form to contest with the incumbent member of parliament and is hopeful that he will bring the necessary development to his people.
Addressing the plans he has for the constituency, he said he will make sure that he support students to further their education, provide for teachers bungalows in the rural communities and also support the constituency in diverse ways as required.
