The National Health Insurance Scheme Manager for the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District, Mr Gbaran Gbolo has called on residents within District to take advantage their annual week celebrations to register and as well renew their cards.

Speaking on the morning show of Bole based Nkilgi Fm on 22nd December, 2022, Mr Gbaran Gbolo who just took over as the new Manager for the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District NHIS also invited residents of the area to celebrate the annual week with them this December since many activities have been lined up for the benefit of the people.

Mr Gbaran added that usually after ones card expired it takes a month after renewal before it becomes effective but with the NHIS week celebration the authorities came together and made it possible that as soon as one renew the health insurance card within the week celebration it starts working immediately.

The Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District NHIS Manager mentioned that everyone can dial the short code (*929#) to renew their cards without coming to the office where there can be many people waiting to get their NHIS cards.

He added those with smart phones can download the (myNHIS) app from play store to follow the instructions and enroll themselves into the NHIS data base with (Ghana card).

The Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District Health Insurance Manager also added that all persons who are 70years and above (70+) can within this time also renew their national Health insurance cards for free as there are no charges on them and so those above 70 should not sit home and let this opportunity pass them but rather take advantage and renew within their national Health insurance scheme week celebration to also enjoy their gifts and opportunity within the week.
