The Chiefs and People of the Bole Traditional area of Gonja are preparing for a ‘Home Coming Damba’ that citizens of the Bole Traditional area especially those outside the Tradyional arw being encouraged to come home to participate.
The Bole Damba which is second under the Paramount Chief of the Bole Traditional area Bolewura Sarfo Kutuge Feso (I) will take place on Friday 6th to Sunday 8th November, 2020 at the Forecourt of the Bolewura’s Palace in Bole.
The Theme of the Bole 2020 Damba is “Promoting Culture, Peace and Development-The Role of the youth” and the Chairman for Bole Damba 2020 is the Paramount Chief of the Tumu Traditional Area, Kuoro Richard Babini Kanton (VI).
The Special Guest of Honour is H.E John Dramani Mahama, former President of the Republic of Ghana.
Other Special Invited Guests are the Bamboi Kooro; the Northern Regional minister, the Savannah Regional minister, the Wangara Chief of Wenchi and Mr Ibrahim Mahama of Engineers and Planners Company limited.
Activities to mark the Damba celebration will kick start on 29th October, 2020 and some of the activities that will be undertaken include, a Clean up exercise, Gala matches, REDfyah Musical Concert, Health Screening for the aged, radio and TV talk shows and others.
Bolewura Safo Kutuge Feso (I) will also officially launch the Bole Educational Fund.
Nkilgi FM spoke to the Secretary of the Bole Traditional Council Mr Haruna Abudulai Obey and he said preparations are advanced for the Damba celebration.
He disclosed that Committees mostly made up of Chiefs and Queenmothers have been put in place to make the Home Coming Damba of the Chiefs and people of the Bole Traditional area one of the well organised one.
Meanwhile Bole based Nkilgi has been selected as a media partner for the Bole Traditional area Home Coming Damba of the Chiefs and People of the Bole Traditional area under the leadership of Yiram Bolewura Sarfo Kutuge (I).
