The Paramount Chief of the Bole Traditional Area Bolewura Sarfo Kutuge Feso (I) has said that activities to celebrate Eid al-Fitr in his Traditional area should conform with the Ghana Health Service Protocols and expressed hope that the COVID 19 pandemic will soon go away so that everyone can return to their normal lives.
“Over the 30 days of fasting, we have seen how important the power of prayer can be during challenging times. Today, as the celebration of Eid al-Fitr commences, I pray that everyone in the Traditional Area find comfort and reassurance in their faith”; he said.
The Bolewura said this in a statement issued today 23rd May, 2020 on the occasion of the festival of Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan.
Bolewura Kutuge Feso (I) wished all Muslims across his Traditional area and the Gonja Kingdom Eid Mubarak. He said this is a time for everyone to be with family and friends and he hope everyone will enjoy the festival and celebrate in safety.
“The Bole Traditional Area is a society that appreciates multiculturalism and freedom of religion. This festival is an opportunity to renew and strengthen our faith through rigorous prayers, and charitable deeds so as to fight the novel COVID-19”; the statement said.
