The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Bole-Bamboi constituency of the Savannah Region Hon. Alhaji Yussif Sulemana has donated items  worth Gh¢ 45,000.00 to the Bole District Health Directorate to help contain COVID-19 in the constituency.

The items which were received by the Bole District Director of Ghana Health Service Mr David Bakuri on Tuesday 7th April, 2020 include over 1,000 alcoholic based hand sanitizers, 50 Veronica Buckets, 9 Infrared Thermometer guns, 11 packs of gloves, 10 gallons of liquid soaps and hundreds of tissue papers.

Speaking to Bole based Nkilgi Fm the MP said the items have been donated to make sure all facilities in the constituency have access to those logistics.

The MP said; “This pandemic is above the fight of the government only, that is why I have also in my own way brought this infrared thermometer gums,Veronica buckets, liquid soaps and the others to help curb the spread of the virus”.

Alhaji Yusif Sulemana further said; “There are countless occasions people involved me to politicise on this pandemic and I back off”.

The MP thanked Bole based Nkilgi Fm for taking it upon themselves to schedule a two hour airtime for health professionals to always educate the public. He urged his constituents to stop politicizing the deadly  corona virus.

The Bole District Director  of Ghana Health Service Mr David Bakuri thanked the MP for his assistance and pleaded with the general public to come in with any support they have to help contain the COVID-19.

Mr Bakuri said the MP’s items have come at the right time.

“We needed a lot to protect our patients and our workers at various facilities in the district”; he added.

Present at the handing over ceremony were Executives of the National  Democratic Congress (NDC) led by  Chairman Chairman Alhaji Amoro Fusheini.
