The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Bole- Bamboi Constituency of the Savannah Region, Alhaji Yusif Sulemana on wednesday 22nd July 2020 handed over the Chanchire D/A and Kilampobile Primary Schools to contractors for rehabilitation.

Speaking exclusively to Bole based Nkilgi FM, the Deputy Ranking Member for Trade and Industry select committee in Ghana’s Parliament said he had received a letter from elders of the Chanchire community on the deplorable state of their school which needed urgent attention hence his intervention to hand over the facility for work to begin.

At Kilampobile the MP handed the school built in the John Jerry Rawlings regime for rehabilitation works.

In his brief remarks, the MP said he promised the good people of Kilampobile some months ago of assisting the community in rehabilitating their school which has become dilapidated.

Elders of the community thanked the MP for his kind gesture. According to the leadership of the community, several appeals were made to the Bole District Assembly to help them rehabilitate the school which had some of its roofs ripped off by heavy rain and wind some time ago and that the MP’s assistance is timely.

The Deputy General Secretary of the NDC Lawyer Barbara Serwaa who moved round with the MP and used the opportunity to monitor the ongoing Electoral Commission’s voter registration exercise urged the communities to vote massively for Hon Yussif Sulemana because he is tried and tested.

She added that people have raised concerns the machines used to register people are very low.

The MP’s delegation included Savannah Regional executives of the NDC.
