The Paramount Chief of the Bole Traditional Area Bolewura Sarfo Kutuge Feso (I) has given permission to the Bole District  Health Directorate to implement the mandatory wearing of face masks at all public places such as markets, police stations, lorry stations, Hospital/CHIP compounds, Chief Palaces, Chop Bars and Drinking Bars, the Court and so on as a means of preventing the spread of coronavirus with effect from Wednesday, 20th May, 2020.
The Bolewura said he has taken due consideration of the measures taken by the Bole District  Health Directorate to combat the spread of COVID-19 in Bole and beyond and fully supports them to extend Ministry of Health Directives to any part of the Bole Traditional area.
The Bole District Health Directorate wrote a letter dated 8th May, 2020 to the Bolewura seeking permission permission to implement some directive on the premises of all Health facilities in the District

The letter said; “Following the Directive from the Ministry of Health on the mandatory wearing of face masks at public places as a means  of preventing the spread of the Coronavirus, the District Director of the Ghana Health Service in collaboration with the District Rapid Team writes to seek your permission to implement this directive on the premises of all Health facilities in the District starting with the Bole District Hospital. The proposed date to start this policy of no face mask no entering is effective Wednesday 20th May, 2020”.

The Bolewura replied the letter from the Bole District Health Directorate on 12th May, 2020 granting the Bole District  Health Directorate permission to stop any stranger or group of persons attempting to enter Bole Town or any public place without a face mask and that anyone who flouts the rule will be arrested by the Police and prosecuted. 
The Bolewura said the general public should treat the directives from the Bole District Health Directorate with the importance and urgency it deserves to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.
